Our principle
PageParcel is local-first. Page captures, temporary image frames, and PDF generation are processed in your browser and on your device. They are not uploaded to a PageParcel server.
Data the extension processes
When you explicitly start a capture, the extension reads visible content, page dimensions, scroll position, and scroll-container information from the active tab. It uses Chrome's capture API to create image frames. It also stores your JPEG quality, PDF chunk size, and frame-limit preferences.
Local storage and retention
Image frames are written temporarily to browser IndexedDB for PDF generation. The extension removes a job's temporary frames after successful export or an aborted task. Preferences remain in Chrome local storage until you change them, clear extension data, or uninstall the extension.
Sharing and sale
PageParcel does not sell, rent, or share captured content, browsing history, or extension preferences with advertisers or data brokers. The extension contains no advertising tracker.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
PageParcel handles data only to provide the single, user-facing feature you request: converting the current webpage or online document into chunked PDFs. Captured content remains on your device, so PageParcel and its maintainer cannot access or read it and do not transfer it to third parties. Data is not used for personalized advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the core feature. PageParcel's use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Why permissions are needed
activeTab and scripting analyze and scroll only the page you invoke the extension on; storage and unlimitedStorage hold preferences and temporary long-capture frames; offscreen enables local PDF generation in Manifest V3.
